Happy Birthday, My Old Man

10 January 2010

Hari
ini, harijadi ayah aku. Harijadi ayah aku yang ke 60. Hari yang sepatutnya menjadi harijadi beliau yang ke-60. Siapa sangka, sudah 6 tahun ayah aku meninggalkan keluarga kami. Meninggalkan kami merindui beliau. Meninggalkan kami dalam duka.

Aku masih ingat tarikh beliau menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya, 27 September 2004. Menerima panggilan dari ibu, aku tinggalkan kuliah dan menaiki the earliest flight dari Kuching ke Sibu. I remembered i cried all the way. I didnt know what to expect. I didnt see what i will face. And i definitely wasnt ready for the worse. But it happened. Tidak sampai sejam selepas aku tiba di hospital, beliau memejamkan mata dengan tenang. Seumpama beliau tidur di ulit mimpi yang indah, meninggalkan kami menangisi pemergian beliau. [im sorry, im feeling emotional now..]

I
cant even begin to say, how much i misses his presence. How much i long to call someone Dad. To call him Dad. He was always there for me. I was daddy's little girl, ask anyone. With him gone, aku hilang sayap untuk aku terbang tinggi. Ya Allah, rindunya aku.. i miss u so much, Dad.. Did you know Dad, up till this day, Mummy still keep that last checkered shirt u wore, and put it neatly by the side of her pillow? She didnt even wash the shirt just so to keep your scent around her. Till this day Dad, till this very day.

You
know, i could never want any other Dads other than you. You are the king of my heart. I cherished every moment of me as your daughter and i couldn't ask for more. I could talk forever about you, for all the good things, the sacrifices you've made to make my life, truly a life. I am someone now, because of you. I only wished, you could have stayed longer but i know, God loves you more and you'd want us to be happy. Dont worry Dad, we'll take care of Mummy for you. She's a very strong lady you know that, dont you. And she loves you very much..

Happy
birthday Dad. You shall forever be, the world's greatest Dad in our hearts. Rest in peace, Al-Fatihah.

He is with God now, Lynn, and free from all suffering. May he rests in peace. I bet he is proud of the person you have become.

Hi Joynstar:
Im so sorry for your loss, and you were only 3..it must have been hard for you. Seteruk2 mine, i have no words for yours. I cant imagine how it's like not to really know your own mother cause you were just a kid then.. :( rindu bertandang di hati, i cant help it

Hi Lois:
No, you've never mentioned this before. Really? Since your dad is a lawyer, the uncle he had spoken to could be my uncle judge, Linton. Could it be him?
Yes, as much i want him around, i wouldnt him to suffer either over his cancer. Let's just let him rest in peace. Thanks for the comfort, appreciate it

Felicia,
i ikut sayu.
sepanjang 2003, i hilang 7 ahli keluarga terdekat, nenek, abang, kakak, ank buah... akhir sekali bulan disember, ayah... memang Tuhan saja yang tahu.

Beberapa bulan i nak recover melangkah seperti biasa.
