Tioman Island Pt 2

Journey to Tioman was not relaxing as i thought it would be. It took us more than 12 hours before finally reaching the destination. Next time, i'd just take Berjaya Air from Subang. Trust me, you'd want this tip.

Sri Aman - Kuching - JB - Mersing - Tioman

• Approximately 2 1/2 hrs from S.Aman to Kch by land. 4.30am-7am
• Roughly 1 hour and 2o mins from Kch to JB by air. 8.45am-9.40am
• JB to Mersing 2 hrs by chattered van. 11am-1pm
• Mersing to Tioman 2 hrs by boat. 3pm-5pm (RM35 per way)

For those who cant stand long journeys, especially if you are from afar, perhaps opting for JB might not be the best choice. You can always choose to fly to KL, then take Berjaya Air from Subang which flies directly to Tekek airport, Tioman. (i SHOULD have taken that)

Place where i stayed? Genting Bayu Chalet. It was okay. The only setback i suggest should be improved would be the lightings in the room. Expect to see some ancient 80's stuff, no fancy food for breakfast (still, they were okay and edible ehehe). Air conditioner works perfectly fine although 80's kind of brand..chilly water directly from the mountain keeps you fresh all the time. Aaaa yes, another setback was the distance from the jetty. It was a long walk passing through some village pathway,more or less 1km i may assume before finally reaching the chalet. Tired wo... but scenery was amazingfantabeautimagnificent. suitable vacation for family. I made the right choice, and so will you. (",)
