I got home late from work today. School ended at 1340 but my friend (Mac) and i had to finish up a report which was urgently needed. Hence we stayed behind, still clad in our baju kurungs, trying to make up some good BM words. Daym i suck at it, if i were to sit again for my SPM, instead of A2 like before, i'd score F9 maybe..lucky Mac is a BM teacher, so burden was 80% lifted.
I reached home around 1630, half hour away from those who work till 5pm. Sigh. After saying goodbye to Mac, i immediately unlocked the gate. To my fear, i heard Orchid wailing like crazy. Mind you, the distance of our gate to the backyard is about 30-40 metres..can u imagine how loud she was bawling. Rushing with the grill and sliding door, i rushed to the back with my high heels still on and handbag on my right shoulder. "Orchid! Orchid! What's Wrong?! Im coming!"
To my shock, Mr Jingles was nowhere to be seen with the mother inside the cage..Oh My God, i said to myself..Oh my God.."MR JINGLES!! MR JINGLES!!" oh please, dont let other cats took her, worse, ate him..
"Mr Jingles!!"...Orchid joined me during my frantic moment searching for Mr Jingles..She has gone mad Mr Jingles was not with her.."Oh no Orchid, where's Mr Jingles??" ..
Ok, our fault. The cage was meant for adult cats, not kitten, but we had no choice, we had to put both of them inside a place where it is comfortable, the only problem was a tiny kitten could easily slipped through and out of the cage. And that was exactly what happened.
I almost cried when suddenly i saw a light movement from behind the door mat hanged next to the cage. "MR JINGLES!!, THANK GOD!" There he was, relaxing if not sleeping silently. "You almost gave me a heart attack Mr Jingles!" ...aduhai..sakit jantung aku..
Carefully, i lifted him to my palm and handed him over to his mom..Orchid was overjoyed she licked Mr Jingles couple of times and had him in her arms..I was lost for words i just sat there, in my baju kurung, in my high heels..feeling relief..

i had a similar experience when my Siamese cat, Black Nose, went missing. It was during the cat's dinner time. At first, i thought maybe she went to my neighbour's house, which is the second favourite place for the cats. But my mother, had a feeling, coz Black Nose never miss her dinner. Then, i thought to myself, maybe she'll be back late, so i wait. But she never came.. i was, "cne ka biak ya pegi??"... I was very sleepy at that time. so i went to bed. i suddenly woke up at 5 or 6 am.. I immediately went to the wet kitchen, hoping that she'll be there sleeping... Sikda juak!! alu susah hati.. When i opened my front door, i heard something but not clearly... Then, i suddenly felt i had to check the tennis court, which is next to my house.. so i ambik my super torchlight (awal pagi, gelap bah) n terus tembak at the court.. and there she was... she saw me alu nya meow kuat2 (she seldon make meow2, you see).. she was stuck in side the court for a whole night.. gine ka nya masok... coz the court the night before sikda org pake... but there must be a hole or something, if not, gine ka nya masok.. So, i went to the court, trying to search the hole... pusing satu court n guess what.. at the court's metal door there an opening, that u can put ur hand inside. Besar ada lubang ya for a cat... Black Nose was screaming mok keluar.. i put hand through the hole to show to her, that she can go out from there... She sik berani keluar... Yarabi, i said.. palou kawu ya.. besar ada juak lubang ya.. so terpaksa la guna cara kasar.. i put my hand inside and had to catch her by the head... Nya melawan, so i had to lepas her.. bodo.. She still was screaming to get out.. i suluh gik at the opening, showing to her ,"you can go out from there.. I think she was desperate to go out, n decided to use the opening.. Alu berjaya keluar.. U know, whats the first thing she do? She run to the first pokok, n then she pissed urine.. hahahah.. She felt very relief, i guess... she jarang polah bunyi.. thats why i didnt know she was at the court all along.. lega juak hati coz dah jumpa nya..
hehe
