Beijing II

The word says, you aint in China till you've been to The Great Wall. So, let's just go straight to it.

First view we had upon stepping out the bus. It was beautiful.

Group photo before climbing The Great Wall.

Panting while ascending The Great Wall. First stop, sempat posing. Jeez, i didnt expect for it to be so challenging!

With cute little kiddo, Fasha Farihin from KL.

Amazing sight from top.

I was awarded The Great Wall certificate and a card certifying i've climbed this one 7 wonders of the world. Jangan jeles ok.

Tian' an Men Square

Striking a pose inside Forbidden City.

Another one. It was a long walk, 7-8km to finish up the entire Forbidden City.

Its huge area.

erm, the Hall of Preserved Harmony.

Behind us is the Emperor's concubines' rooms. 9,999 in total. Emperor's got a hell lot of taste! Not to mention high sex drive! Phew..

Bird's Nest

Near Bird's Nest. You know, the Olympic stadium. Just admiring the beauty of flowers around.

There, the Bird's Nest as they named it.

Hard Rock Cafe

Our last day. Just a brief stop at Hard Rock's.

We
had few more stops after Hard Rock, but im just slightly lazy to post them up, plus i think i've posted enough photos for you my beloved readers to view.

Shopping
was crazy. I got myself lots of stuff and i must say i was a good bargainer. Grabbed few pairs of shoes, jades bracelets and necklace, crystal pendant, earrings, Beijing t-shirts and caps, bags, some medicated heated packs, tea, Hard Rock's T-shirts, 32GB thumb drives RMB50 for 2, and the most expensive item i bought (which i had to use my credit card) was the Silk quilt with cover, cost me RMB1380, equal to RM700 somewhat. I could not resist it okay.

O yea,
i shopped a bit for Dia yang Kechomelan too. Had help from Auntie Ros and Uncle Maulud (an elderly couple with the tour) to do the bargaining. I hope you will like the gifts i got for you sayang. Missing you tho, hope to see you in a week's time ok..Oppsss..sorry, diverted there.

We ended the day after 10pm. Everyone was tired and needed to get back to our hotel rooms to pack for next day's early departure back to Malaysia. In all, the trip was magnificent and spectacular. I love Beijing.

Beijing

I was in Beijing
with my family on a tour. It was nice, except for the weather. We were told the temperature will be similar as in Malaysia but turned out to be, it wasn't. It was end of spring to early summer but it was unbelievably cold. We weren't prepared.

However, the tour itself was great. 23 of us, from all parts of Malaysia including a pair from UK, had wonderful moments touring round Beijing. Aha yes, the journey from KL-Beijing took approximately 6 hours beginning 1230 am by Malaysia Airlines Airbus. It was not pleasant tho, we could hardly sleep cause the stewards and stewardess kept on 'Excuse me miss, would u like to have coffee, tea or juice?' , 'Excuse me miss, sandwich?' , 'Excuse me miss, would you like rice with lemon chicken or omelette with potatoes?' and a hell lot more of Excuse Me, Misssssss..

Upon arrival, we headed straight for the tour. First destination was Summer Palace. It was cool, but i was dizzy. Like i said, we did not have good sleep on flight. Lunch was okay, we had 10 meals served in front of us. Chinese tea was all that is for us to drink during the entire trip. Health tips, drinking chinese tea will make you look much younger, but the process will not be until few years, in other words, you have to consume chinese tea before and after every meal everyday. Yea.

Beijing airport. Dusty haze now. It was bad.

Summer Palace. It was cold although sunny. Our almost 24 hours faces since 26th May from Kuching.

Behind is the KunMing Lake, impressively men made

Second day. Had photos of our amazing apartment hotel room, later. So, this is the lobby of Jinqiao Apartment Hotel

The room. It was fabulous, complete with Internet connection, washing machine, stove, oven and everything else that completes as a home.

Day after was the moment we waited for, because the destination was The Great Wall of China. I'll let the photos tell the story.

Jade House. Some horse statue at the restaurant with big souvenir shops inside.

Crystal House before Great Wall.

Let's take a break for now. I know, i know i haven't posted the pictures of Great Wall yet. Don't worry, will be up next. Stay tuned.
