Iban Melano..This is the first time i've heard of such. All this while, i thought kalau bapak bumi, even if the mother isn't, the child is considered as a Bumi. [bumi bumi sik lamak planet] eheh. Anyway, for you guys yang hilang dari dunia nyata and didnt read the issue, here are some bits of the news..
- In the peninsular, if either parents is a Bumi then the child is Bumi ..
- In Sabah, if the father is a Bumi, then automatically the child is Bumi ..
- In Sarawak, both parents must be bumi for the child to be a Bumi..
Bulan sikda? Tedah kalau la ada bulanputera, planetputera, galaksiputera.. Kenapakah mesti Bumi? Yerr, padahal tajuk ku lain, isi nya terus jadi lain .. nga ha..

sebenarnya benda tok sik patut jadi issue... dr zaman Tun Rahman (uncle taib) gik there was a drive to encourage mix marriages, chinese + bumis, n those who are born from those unions would be considered bumis.

Incidentally, it is against the law here for an employer, applicable to study Institutions too, to ask....when we apply for jobs....our age, marital status, language, country of origin...
only when securing the job, then for filing in personal record....and to get the benefits.
Colleges, Universities will accept anyone...give scholarships to those, or whoever that merits it....
