Fuel price hike. It was only last week a personnel from RHB recommended me to use my credit card to fill in the tank. 5% discount. Music to my ears. Told mum about it, and just as we were about to give it a try, came that news yesterday, whereby petrol stations will not accept credit cards anymore with the reason, they are losing 50% profit paying 1% per litre (if im not mistaken) for every transaction to the customers' respective banks. It is said that, petrol station owners are still taking 4 cents profit (same as before) despite the increase in fuel price.
Much to it, petrol kiosks here at my hometown were opened last night till i dont know what time. (its' operation is usually only until 7pm). During that particular time, i wasnt aware of the situation i found it weird. I was driving passed the area heading to KFC and turned my head twice upon seeing that petrol station was still on business. It was not until this morning i learnt about the mogok2 thing which made people rushed their butts in their cars to any available petrol stations. Hmmm..
Panic buying occurred at most petrol stations in Sabah. Not to be left out, my hometown. People flocked to get their tanks filled, fearing the 3 days of mogok news is true.Honestly, my thoughts are only about some stupid people spreading the news just so to menaikkan the profit, and cleverly done memilih time orang terima gaji. Bravo.
